Who We Are

Founded in March 1988, Komma (formerly known as ToPoS) is a study association for students and alumni of the Master's program ​"Educational Science and Technology" at the University of Twente.

The ‘comma’ punctuation (Komma in Dutch) bridges and helps to extend a sentence. Hence, we aim to bridge the gap between academia and profession.

I became Komma member because I wanted to get in touch with EST like-minded students and professionals, I didn't expect to find so many stories, friendships and professional development. ~ Inge, 29yr, student EST

Our Goals

We aim to connect communities; share knowledge; and help students and alumni discover new opportunities.

• Every member should feel a sense of inclusion, belonging, and unity in the EST community.

• Increase opportunities for students to collaborate with each other, learn from expert professionals and upskill through various workshops and conferences.

• Market and share different opportunities for students to grow personally and professionally.
