Expert Talk: Prof. Dr. Tim Brüggemann — The Age of EdTech

We're excited to welcome Prof. Dr. Tim Brüggemann, Rector of AKAD University and Professor of Educational Technology, for an expert talk on the future of learning.

Prof. Dr. Brüggemann is one of the leading voices in German higher education on the intersection of education and technology. He chairs the AI working group of the Association of Private Universities (VPH) and serves as board chair of EdTech-U, a European network for educational technology in higher education. He recently co-edited The Age of EdTech: Bildungstechnologie im Spannungsfeld zwischen Innovation und Qualität, and made headlines for spearheading the launch of "Valters" — described as Europe's first AI professor — at AKAD University. His academic background also includes research on career orientation and the transition from education to the labour market.

In his talk, Prof. Dr. Brüggemann will share insights from his recent research, discuss key developments shaping educational science and technology today, including the growing role of AI in the classroom, and offer practical, career-based advice for students and early-career professionals in the field.
